Fresh Particulars Surface About the Finding of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Bodies

Recent details have emerged regarding the shocking passing of esteemed director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were found at their residence home on Sunday.

The Initial Report

A source indicates referencing a family associate, a therapist scheduled for an session was the first to notice something was wrong after not being able to enter the house. The practitioner then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the home, Romy found her father's body. It is said she then left the home distraught, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Another individual who had accompanied her then dialed 911. Following this, first responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Charges

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of first-degree murder, including the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently being held without bail.

Disputed Reports

The confidential informant also disputed several previously reported details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a detached unit on the grounds, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that moment.

The source also pushed back against widely reported claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "worried" about Nick's conduct in recent weeks. Rather the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

The statement applies to reports of reportedly "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a gathering thrown by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the bodies were found. While the source said they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they asserted that reports of a "major confrontation" between the two were untrue.

Investigation Timeline

As stated by law enforcement officials, the medical examiner had still not confirmed as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Preliminary media reports noted the state of their bodies pointed to they had been deceased for some hours.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the scene. He was scheduled to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, stated his client had a medical issue and would be unable to attend until no sooner than Wednesday.
