Loyal supporters of the actress are urging that a individual who breached a barricade and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the Australian man shoving aside media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway surrounded by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though court documents indicated that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account features videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last year.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over the Star's Safety

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while others called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Numerous of fans had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The movie, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual version of the well-known theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the surprising friendship between two very different characters.

The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, earning two for best costume and artistic direction.
