The House Oversight Committee has published a set of roughly 70 images secured from the holdings of former convicted individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third release from a cache of over 95,000 images the panel has secured from Epstein's holdings. It features photographs of excerpts from the novel Lolita inscribed across a female's body, and redacted pictures of female international passports.

This action comes hours before the 19 December cut-off for the Justice Department to disclose every files related to its investigation into Epstein.

"These photographs bring up additional questions about exactly what the Department of Justice has in its holdings," said the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Images Disclosed

Some of the photos made public on recently depict Epstein conversing with professor and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a private plane; Bill Gates standing beside a female whose features is censored; Steve Bannon seated at a desk across from Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the most recent high-net-worth, influential individuals to be seen in Epstein's estate images disclosed by the oversight panel - formerly disclosed pictures also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, previous US treasury secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Being pictured in the photos is not proof of any misconduct, and several of the pictured individuals have said they were not participating in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a announcement issued alongside the image publication, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate's representatives did not provide context or timings for the photographs.

"Images were chosen to offer the American people with transparency into a representative sample of the images acquired from the estate, and to provide insights into Epstein's circle and his profoundly troubling actions," the release says.

The disclosure also features multiple photos of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita inscribed in ink across different parts of a woman's body, like her chest, foot, hipbone, and rear. Lolita recounts the tale of a adolescent who was exploited by a adult literature professor.

One passage from the book written across a woman's upper body reads, "Lolita's name: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the roof of the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a number of photos of female travel documents and official papers from states around the world, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A further image made public is a image of text messages from an unknown individual who claims they have been provided "some girls" and are asking for "$$1,000 per female".

Photograph Publication Comes Prior to DOJ Cut-off

The panel has a vast number of photographs in its custody from the Epstein holdings, which are "at once explicit and mundane," its press release on this week explained.

The Congressional committee first subpoenaed the holdings of Epstein, who passed away in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of human trafficking, in August.

The photographs and files the Epstein property submitted to the body are distinct from what is often referred to "the Epstein documents". That material are documents in the justice department's control connected to its separate investigation into Epstein.

Pursuant to the recently passed law, which Donald Trump enacted last month, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to publish its records. The extent of what's included in the DOJ's records is unknown, and it's expected that a large amount of the material will be heavily redacted, comparable to the committee's materials
